Accept a transferred boat record

The secret link alone is not enough: only a verified account matching the invited email address can view and accept the snapshot.

Before you begin

  • Personal invitation link
  • Verified account matching the invited address
  1. 1

Sign in with the invited address

Open the invitation and sign in with the exact invited email address. If you register first, the invitation remains in this browser session.

  2. 2

    Review scope and gaps

Check boat identity, included categories, known open points, excluded private data and the expiry date.

  3. 3

    Accept or decline deliberately

Acceptance creates an independent boat record from exactly the displayed snapshot. Plan or storage limits do not block acceptance or lasting data rights.

  4. 4

    Add your private context

After completion, review home port, crew, private expenses, notifications and open work. Download the technical handover receipt for your records.

Check the result

After acceptance exactly one new boat record is visible, its scope matches the preview and the recipient receipt is downloadable. Review “Accept a transferred boat record” once from another crew member’s perspective: labels, status and the next action should make sense without a verbal explanation.

If something goes wrong

A mismatched account never sees snapshot data. Reopen the link in the same browser after signing in with and verifying the invited address.

Keep data safe and traceable

For “Accept a transferred boat record”, capture only information required for the task. Passwords, access tokens and complete payment details never belong in notes or screenshots. Every change should remain connected to the correct boat, a responsible person and a visible status. If two devices produce different versions, resolve the conflict deliberately; an earlier accepted record must not disappear without explanation.

After the first real use

After the first use, review the workflow against “Sign in with the invited address”, “Review scope and gaps”, “Accept or decline deliberately”, “Add your private context”. Add missing labels, sources or follow-up work in context. A short review at season change, after a crew change or when signing in on a new device is then enough. The guide remains useful without maintaining the same task in parallel private lists.
