Export boat data and original files

Export, reading, search and original download remain available regardless of plan.

Before you begin

  • Access to the relevant boat or account
  • Enough storage for the archive and original files
  1. 1

    Open export

Use Export in the web app or Account, export & deletion in the mobile app.

  2. 2

    Request the archive

The request is stored with a unique job ID and processed idempotently in the background.

  3. 3

    Return later

Completed jobs are restored after reload. The signed download link is short-lived.

  4. 4

    Protect the archive

Exports contain private boat data and originals. Store them encrypted and remove unnecessary copies.

Check the result

A useful export contains structured records, readable originals and enough relationships to understand the boat history outside the app. Review “Export boat data and original files” once from another crew member’s perspective: labels, status and the next action should make sense without a verbal explanation.

If something goes wrong

If an archive is incomplete or corrupt, retain the job identifier and avoid parallel requests until the first status is unambiguous.

Keep data safe and traceable

For “Export boat data and original files”, capture only information required for the task. Passwords, access tokens and complete payment details never belong in notes or screenshots. Every change should remain connected to the correct boat, a responsible person and a visible status. If two devices produce different versions, resolve the conflict deliberately; an earlier accepted record must not disappear without explanation.

After the first real use

After the first use, review the workflow against “Open export”, “Request the archive”, “Return later”, “Protect the archive”. Add missing labels, sources or follow-up work in context. A short review at season change, after a crew change or when signing in on a new device is then enough. The guide remains useful without maintaining the same task in parallel private lists.
